This volume contains the proceedings of The Fifth International Conference
on Computational Physics (ICCP5), held in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, October 11-13,
1999, as part of the series of these conference. Past four conferences are
intended to promote advancement of computational physics in different fields
of physics in countries throughout the world, including Asian countries,
in addition to allowing for the exchange ideas regarding the most recent
scientific advancements in individual fields of physics.
The 5th conference covered the main areas of current research in computational
physics. The topics covered in the conference include, but are not limited to,
numerical approaches in particle and nuclear physics, material science,
statistical physics, cosmology, astrophysics, plasma physics and fluid
dynamics, and computer related subjects.
This volume informs readers of the present status of research of these
fields and will give some hints for those who are interested in this fields.
