Frontiers of Nuclear Collision Dynamics

Proceedings of the 14th Nishinomiya Yukawa Memorial Symposium

Edited by T. Hatsuda, H. Horiuchi and I. Tanihata

The great variety of active research frontiers is a characteristic feature of present day nuclear physics. The research being conducted in each frontier field is closely related to the study of the distinctive nuclear collision dynamics found in that field. The 14th Nishinomiya-Yukawa Memorial Symposium (Nishinomiya, November 18-19, 1999) was designed for the purpose of bringing together world experts, both theoretical and experimental, to review recent developments and consider future prospects in various frontiers of nuclear collision dynamics, ranging over a wide energy region from a few keV to several hundred GeV per nucleon.

This Supplement volume contains all the lectures presented at the symposium. The lectures are on theoretical and experimental subjects, including astrophysical nuclear reactions, synthesis of super-heavy elements, molecular resonance reactions, reactions of unstable nuclei, the microscopic description of low-energy nuclear collisions, multifragmentation in nucleus-nucleus collisions in the medium energy region, and quark-gluon plasma in ultra high energy nuclear collisions.
