The Yukawa International Seminar 2005 (YKIS2005), ``The Next Chapter
in Einstein's Legacy", was held at the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical
Physics, Kyoto University, from 27 June to 1 July, 2005.
There were extensive review talks on recent developments in experimental
and theoretical aspects of gravity, and intensive discussions on topical
issues as well as on future directions in these areas.
This volume consists of Part I and Part II.
Part I contains updated versions of lectures presented
by the invited speakers. The chapters and the authors are:
