Objective
Japanese researchers community on general relativity and gravitation has been holding workshops on general relativity and gravitation (called JGRG) every year since 1991. In this year, we will hold the 20th anniversary conference at the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP), Kyoto University.
At the same time, Takashi Nakamura and Kei-ichi Maeda, who have been the primary organizers of the JGRG workshops, will be 60 years old in September and October 2010, respectively. We are going to celebrate their 60th birthday on this occasion.
Historically, the main part of the JGRG workshops has been composed of contributed talks. This year, we change the style: The JGRG20 will be composed primarily of invited talks by world experts from various fields related to general relativity. The topics are classical and quantum gravity, cosmology, high energy astrophysics, gravitational wave astronomy, and numerical relativity.
