The first thing you do at Yukawa Institute

 

Reception Desk

When you first come to YITP, please proceed to the Secretariat Desk.

We will hand you a workshop kit, keys (your office key and a card key) and other stuffs. 　

The location and opening hours of the desk are:

Secretariat Desk: K107 in Research Building 　

Opening hours:  10:00-12:00, 13:00-16:00 (Mon.-Fri., except October 12(Mon))

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Key deposit of 3,000 yen is required upon arrival. Refunded when the keys are returned.

 

Reimbursement

Date and time of the reimbursement will be notified upon reception.

See a message card attached to your name tag. To those who will receive the reimbursement

of the airfare: make sure to bring the original receipt or Passenger receipt.

 

Entrance

The main entrances of the YITP buildings (Yukawa Memorial Hall and Research

Buliding) are open from 8:00 to 18:00. For night-time or early-morning entrance,

you need an entrance card key. The instruction of the card key is included in your

workshop package. It is common to the both buildings. Weekend entrance is also

possible with your card key. The buildings are always locked during weekend.

About

Description

We hold a YITP international workshop entitled "Branes, Strings and Black Holes"
from September 28 (Mon) to November 1 (Sun), 2009. This is one of the series of
the long-term workshops in the YITP research program "Yukawa International
Program for Quark-Hadron Sciences (YIPQS)", which will continue from 2007 to 2011.

In the present workshop, we focus on the latest developments in string theory,i.e.
AdS/CFT correspondence, integrability, topological strings, black holes, flux vacua etc.

Seminar Schedule:

We are planning to have two seminars in the morning on Tuesday and Thursday
every week mainly at Panasonic Auditorium in Yukawa Memorial Hall,
which will be announced in *Seminars* menu page as soon as fixed.
We arrange and encourage mutual discussions among participants.
