Granular Mode-Coupling Theory
Abstract
Recently, we were able to generalize mode-coupling theory
to the far from equilibrium stationary state of a randomly driven granular fluid [Kranz, Sperl, Zippelius, PRE 87, 022207 (2013)].
Explaining how granular mode coupling theory works,
I will place a particular emphasis on the assumptions and approximations involved.
This will allow me to discuss several possibilities for further improvement.
I will also briefly discuss the relation to the integration through transients approach to nonequilibrium mode coupling theory.
