Description:
This workshop is planned as one of the series of long-term programs sponsored by the Yukawa International Program for Quark-hadron Sciences (YIPQS) and is also associated with the 25th Nishinomiya-Yukawa memorial international workshop.

The aim of the workshop is to discuss physics of the strong interactions at high energies. We shall cover a broad range of theoretical topics related to the recent important experimental results from RHIC, HERA, the Tevatron and cosmic ray observatories, as well as prospects for the LHC and the planned electron-ion collider.

We plan to divide five weeks into several focus weeks, a symposium, and a pre-symposium school for students. The participants will be supplied with a desk, an access to the printer and internet facilities. Each day during the focus weeks, a limited number of talks (one or two) will be given, so that they promote intensive interactions and discussions among the participants.

We look forward to having a stimulating and creative time in the midst of summer in Kyoto.
