SACRA Tracer Particle Data Bank for R-process nucleosynthesis
This repository contains all publicly available tracer particle trajectories for binary neutron star mergers with neutrino-radiation transport magnetohydrodnamics.
Reference paper
Our paper is available at arxiv:
2211.07637. This paper illustrates the detailed set up the simulation, scientific result, etc. See also arxiv:
2205.05557 for the methodlogy for the tracer particle.
Caveats
- All the data is given in the cgs unit.
The data in this catalog are free for anyone to use, but we request that you please acknowledge the first scientific publication of each simulation.
We may provide the raw simulation data. Please contact to the first author of the corresponding papers.
File format
- Tracter Partcile Data
Tracer particle data are provided with an HDF5-formatted file, containing data of 15,826 particles in total.
The file consists of 15,826 Groups labeled with eight digits (00000001 to 00015826). Each Group contains the quantities along the trajectory of each particle in the form of Datasets. The names of the Datasets and their meanings are as follows:
- Ye : Electron fraction
- entr : Entropy per baryon in the Boltzmann unit
- mass : Mass of the tracer particle (g)
- rho : Rest mass density (g/cm^3)
- temp : Temperature (K)
- time : Simulation time (second)
- u_t : Time component of the four velocity at the end of the particle trace. It is used as the criterion for unbound matter.
- v^x : x component of the three velocity (cm/s)
- v^y : y component of the three velocity (cm/s)
- v^z : z component of the three velocity (cm/s)
- x : x position (cm)
- y : y position (cm)
- z : z position (cm)
