The author of these English notes, Glenn Paquette, obtained his Ph.D. in
theoretical
physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1992.
At Illinois he worked with Professor Y. Oono. From 1992 to 1994 he was a JSPS
Post-doctoral Fellow
at Kyoto University, where he worked in the group headed by Professor Y.
Kuramoto.
Since 1995 he has been actively translating and proofreading academic works by
Japanese authors. His research interests include topics in statistical
physics,
mathematical physics and fluid dynamics.
