Bell inequalities for quantum certification

Antonio Acin, ICFO Barcelona, Spain

Bell inequalities were derived as conditions satisfied by classical correlations reproduced by local hidden-variable models. However, in recent years they have acquired a new status as device-independent certificates of relevant quantum resources. We provide several constructions in which Bell inequalities are derived from the properties of the quantum objects to be certified, rather than from the geometrical properties of the set of classical correlations.
