Abstract

Continuous variable quantum key distribution is an art to share secure keys between to distant parties by using quantum systems such as photon modes which have continuous spectrum. Such protocols have a practical merit that its low-cost implementation might be possible. In this talk, we will discuss what kind of reconciliation method is suitable, when the noises and transmittance of the detectors are taken into account. We will show that so-called reverse reconciliation protocol is much better than usual direct reconciliation protocol. We also give an intuitive description for why the reverse reconciliation is better.
