How to Register Yourself

Registration will be done in our "Registration Page", where you enter information about your research activity as well as your personal information. See the following instruction for the registration steps.

The deadline of the registration is:  July 31, 2007 August 31, 2007

If you are an invited speaker :

You do not need register yourself on the WEB. The secretariat will ask you about necessary information by emails.

If you would like to participate in the workshop :

1. Please go to the "Registration Form" page to fill out the WEB application form.
   (Because of the limited space, the application for the period-[B] (Nov.12-20) will not be accepted. Sorry for the inconvenience.)
2. If you have any requests/comments on support, the schedule, etc., please use the "Additional Information" form. (For example, if you plan to participate for several separated periods, the WEB application form does not accept more than one period. In cases like this, you can use the "Additional Information".)
3. Your application will be processed and by the end of August, you will receive a message letting you know the detail about the payment, the hotel booking, etc.

If you would like to present your paper (Abstract submission closed (July 31)):

1. Please submit the title and the abstract of your paper together with the above application form. The title and abstract submission form (highlighted in green) can be found in the "Registration Form" page.
2. Your application will be considered by the program coordinators and the acceptance will be notified by the end of August.

The price includes the proceedings, a congress kit, etc. and does not depend on the period of participation.

It should be paid online (credit card / bank transfer) in advance from the WEB site of "Nippon Travel Agency (NTA, Nippon Ryoko)". The payment page will open on September 1.

The deadline of the payment procedure at the NTA WEB site.... October 5 (payment itself should be done by October 12)

Banquet:

You can register for the banquet (November 22, 2007) in the above NTA WEB page.
The fee is 7000 JPY (3000 JPY for each accompanying person).

Cancellation:

To cancel registration...

If you would like to cancel your registration, please contact "Nippon Travel Agency (NTA)" before the first day of your participation (follow the instruction in "Payment" page of the NTA site). Then, we will refund the registration fee (after subtracting the necessary bank charge). Please make sure to contact NTA first, otherwise your request will not be processed immediately (It would be nice if you could send a carbon copy to the YKIS2007 secretariat).
In the case of later cancellation, the registration fee will not be refunded.

To cancel banquet...

If you would like to cancel your banquet booking, please contact "Nippon Travel Agency (NTA)" no later than November 15. Then, we will refund the banquet fee (after subtracting the necessary bank charge).
In the case of later cancellation, the fee will not be refunded.

Accommodation

We offer several hotels in Kyoto in the "Accomodations" page of the NTA site, where you can select hotel rooms according to the availability at the time (if you plan to stay for a relatively long period, we recommend you to do it as soon as possible). The accomodation-booking page will open on September 1 and close on October 5. The room charge should be paid in advance together with the registration fee. See the payment page for the detail.

If you are going to find your hotel by yourself, please keep in mind that November is the highest season for tourism in Kyoto and that it will not be so easy to book a good reasonable hotel for a long period.
