Visiting programs:
The Yukawa Institute has various kinds of programs for foreign as well
as domestic visitors, from short term visits of a few days to long
term visits over the period extended up to one year.
- Atoms:
This program has been used mainly for domestic visitors, including
students, to stay at the institute for the period of one month to
three months.
- COE Visiting Scholars:
This program, sponsored by the COE (Center of Excellence) program of
the Ministry of Education and Culture, is used to invite distinguished
theoretical physicists from abroad for the period of three months.
- Visiting Professor:
This is a visiting position at the rank of full professor to be held
by distinguished theoretical physicists from abroad for the extended
period of three months - one year.
For long term foreign visitors and their families, accomodation is
available at the Shugakuin International House, an apartment complex
owned by the Kyoto University. It is recommended, however, that
arrangement of such accomodation should be requested at leat one year
in advance.
