Scope

Rheology of disordered particles such as suspensions, glassy and granular particles exhibit drastic processes such as shear thinning and shear thickening. In particular, the relationship between shear jammed state and the discontinuous shear thickening in dense systems attract much interest among physicists. Unfortunately, we have few the theoretical understanding of these phenomena. Therefore, we need to construct an appropriate theory to understand these processes. We aim to get new understanding of the above mentioned processes through the discussion among experts of these processes.

Schedule

Part I (June 18th - 26th) has several seminars and informal discussions by invited participants. Only invited participants can use facilities of YITP.

Part II (June 27th - 29th) is a focus meeting held at K206. There are some oral talks in addition to the iniveted talks. We encourage all people to register the meeting of the Part II.
