BREAKFAST IN MINAMI-OSAWA (AND HASHIMOTO)

* In the map of Minami-Osawa (click the picture below, to enlarge),
there are 7 places.
(1) Ito Yokado
This is the largest supermarket near the Minami-Osawa Station. At the
grocery section all kinds of food are found and is open from 10:00 to
23:00. Probably it is a good idea to buy something for breakfast in
advance a night before and have it at each one's room.
(2) am pm
This is one of "convenience stores" in Japan. I would say that the
vatiety of foods at Japanese convenience stores is much richer (e.g.,
bread, limited kinds of sushi, etc.) than those in US. It is open 24
hours a day. Probably it's worth visiting there once.
(3) McDonald's
It is open from 7:00 to 22:00.
(4) Wendy's
It is located in a mall called Fab Minami-Osawa. It is open from 8:00
to 22:00.
(5) Starbucks Coffee
It is also located in Fab Minami-Osawa. It is open from 7:00 to 22:00.
(6) Doutor Coffee
It is located in a mall called Paore. One of the branches of the
Japanese coffee shop. They have some sandwiches as well as coffees and
teas. It is open from 7:30 to 21:00.
(7) Mister Donut
One of the branches of the Japanese doughnut shop. It is open from
8:00 to 1:00.
* In the map of Hashimoto (click the picture below, to enlarge), there
are several places:
Supermarkets such as SATY, UNY, Ito Yokado; Convenience stores such as
Seven Eleven, Lawson, Family Mart, which are open 24 hours a day;
McDonald's in the building of SATY opens at 10:00, but there
are several other hamburger shops near the Hashimoto
station. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with their open hours etc.
* In emergency you might want to try the vending machines on the first
floor of the Science Building in the campus (the red cross marked by
(A) in the map (click the picture below, to enlarge):
(the International House is No. 14, and the Science Building is No. 15).
They got built-in microwave ovens and the foods will be served in
about 100 seconds. The price is approximately 300 yen and the menu
includes spaghetti, fried rice, hot-dogs, fried noodles, rice balls,
French fry, etc. Also there is a student store in the campus (the red
square marked by (B) in the map) which has some class of foods etc. It
is open from 10:00 to 20:00 on weekdays.
