概要
日本物理学会若手奨励賞実施要綱に則り、若手研究者による優れた素粒子論の
研究を評価し、奨励することを目的とする。受賞人数の上限は３名である。
１．授賞対象
査読付き雑誌に掲載（または掲載決定）された３編以内の論文の業績を対象とする。
※複数の論文を対象とする場合は、互いに研究目的の関連性があるものとする。
※共同研究に基づく業績の場合、候補者が重要な役割を果たしたものとする。
２．応募資格
a) ２０２６年の４月１日の時点で、博士の学位を未取得または取得後６年未満
であること。ただし学位取得後に産休・育休および看護・介護・病気治療
による休業に入った場合には、学位取得後６年に「産休・育休および看護
・介護・病気治療期間」を加えた年数未満とすることができる。一回の
「産休・育休および看護・介護・病気治療期間」の上限は１年半とし、
その事情を説明する書類を提出すること。
b) 他の領域の募集に重複応募していないこと。
３．応募
○応募方法
自薦または他薦による。ただし、同一回の募集で応募できるのは自薦または
他薦の一件のみとする。他薦の場合、審査委員は推薦者となることができない。

ついて記載した文書と、対象論文の共著者による若手奨励賞応募
に対しての同意書（書式自由）を添付のこと。
（２）発表論文リスト（うち、応募対象とする論文を明示のこと） １部
※対象論文が未発行で掲載決定済みの場合は、掲載決定通知を添付
のこと。
（３）対象業績の目的・要旨（日本語約1500字、あるいは英語約750 words まで） １部
※物理としてのねらいや意味、関連する重要な文献の中での当該業
績の位置付け、優れて独創的な点、展望、発展性についての記載
を含めること。
（４）（論文の提出方法を「PDFファイル」とした場合のみ）

他薦の場合

以上を PDF、テキスト、word、excel いずれかのフォーマット
（対象論文はPDFのみ）で作成し一括して電子メールで送付すること。
※審査委員会の判断により、提出書類を追加する場合がある。

物理学会員でなくても応募できますが、応募時に入会手続きを行い、
受賞時には物理学会員であることが必要です。
学会若手奨励賞審査委員会により選考の上、２０２５年１０月頃発表いたします。
なお、受賞者には２０２６年３月の学会において受賞講演をしていただきます。

The 20th (2026) Young Scientist Award of the Physical Society of Japan (Particle Physics) - Call for Applications
Overview
The purpose of this award is to recognize and encourage outstanding research in particle theory by young scientists, in accordance with the Young Scientist Award of the Physical Society of Japan. The maximum number of recipients is three.
1. Eligibility
The award is granted for achievements based on up to three papers published or accepted for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
*If multiple papers are submitted for consideration, they must be related in terms of their research objectives.
*In the case of achievements resulting from collaborative research, the candidate must have played a significant role in the work.
2. Application Qualifications
a) As of April 1, 2026, the applicant must either not have earned a doctoral degree or have earned one within the past six years. In cases where the applicant has taken leave due to maternity, childcare, nursing, caregiving, or illness treatment after obtaining the degree, the duration of the leave may be added to the six-year period following the degree award. The maximum allowable period of leave is one and a half years at a time, and appropriate documentation must be submitted to explain the circumstances.
b) The applicant must not have submitted duplicate applications to other areas of this call.
3. Application
Application Method
Applications may be submitted either by self-nomination or by recommendation from others. However, a candidate may submit only one self-nomination or recommendation for the same call. The member of the selection committee must not make any recommendations.

In the case of self-nomination:

*If the eligible paper includes co-authored works, you need a document detailing the candidate's role and a letter of consent from the co-author(s) for the candidate application for the Young Scientist Award. (Any format is acceptable.)
(2) List of published papers (the paper(s) subject to the award must be clearly specified): 1 copy.
If the paper(s) under consideration has been accepted for publication but not yet published, the acceptance notice for publication should be attached.
(3) Summary of the research objective and abstract of the work subject to the application (up to approximately 1,500 characters in Japanese, or 750 words in English): 1 copy.
The summary should include a description of the physics objectives and significance of the achievement, its position within relevant and important literature, as well as its outstanding and original aspects, future prospects, and potential for further development.
(4) (Only if the papers are submitted in PDF format)
One copy of each submitted paper in PDF format.
In the case of nomination by others:
(1) Application form (for nomination by others) – 1 copy
If the eligible paper includes co-authored works, attach a document detailing the candidate's role in the paper.
(2) Summary of the eligible papers and reasons for recommendation (up to approximately 1,500 characters in Japanese, or 750 words in English) – 1 copy
The summary should include a description of the physics objectives and significance of the achievement, its position within the relevant and important literature, as well as its outstanding and original aspects, future prospects, and potential for further development.
(3) (Only if the papers are submitted in PDF format)
One copy of each subject paper in PDF format.
All of the above documents should be prepared in PDF, text, Word, or Excel format (with nominated papers submitted in PDF format only) and submitted together via e-mail.

4 Selection, Announcement and Awards
Applications will be accepted even if the applicant is not currently a member of the Physical Society of Japan, but the applicant must apply for membership at the time of application and must be a member at the time of receiving the award.
The Young Scientist Award Selection Committee will select the recipient and announce the results in October 2025.
The recipient of the award will be required to deliver a presentation at the conference in March 2026.
