Title: Hyperons in nuclear matter based on SU(3) chiral effective field theory

Abstract: The appearance of hyperons in dense nuclear matter has a significant impact on the equation of state and, consequently, on neutron-star structures. A key ingredient for discussing the onset density of hyperons is the corresponding single-particle potential in nuclear matter, which can be evaluated from baryon interactions. To investigate the current status of the hyperon single-particle potentials, we present an analysis using the up-to-date interactions up to N2LO within chiral effective field theory. It is found that the Lambda single-particle potential is comparable to the results achieved with the NLO interaction from 2019. The resulting Sigma potential becomes more attractive compared to the previous NLO results due to the constraint from the recent differential cross section data measured in the J-PARC E40 experiment.
