A small but lively and cozy Workshop with the above title was held at the
YITP, Kyoto, in January 1999, attempting to open new frontiers in
understanding non-perturbative aspects of quantum field theory through
integrable models. This Proceedings volume, aimed at general readers
including graduate students as well as the specialists, consists of
comprehensive lectures on fundamental topics and reviews of the new results
ranging from supersymmetric gauge theory, Seiberg-Witten exact solutions,
Whitham integrable hierachies, Calogero-Moser and Ruijsenaars-Schneider
systems for general Lie algebras, integrability of high-energy QCD, strings
and brane physics to new approaches to field theories.
