Abstract
We analytically explore how symmetries can reveal information about the entanglement spectrum. The entanglement spectrum has been shown to reveal information about topological phases of matter. This is done in 2 spin-chain models, an anisotropic spin-half chain and the Kugel-Khomskii Model. We find that using symmetries, we can explain various features observed in the entanglement spectrum.
