Abstract


We study an Ising model on the hexagonal lattice with randomness where the interactions on vertical zig-zag bonds are constant and ferromagnetic and those on horizontal bonds are random. By the use of the transfer matrix, the model is mapped to a product of random matrices. We determine the critical temperature of a paramagnetic-ferromagnetic transition, making use of the Lyapunov exponent formula of a random matrix product. We also discuss critical properties of a transition.
