YITP Workshop

Recent Progress of Quantum Cosmology

November 8 - November 10, 2021
Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University

On this workshop

Quantum cosmology is an esoteric category of cosmology that pursues the question of how the universe was created, and many hypotheses have been proposed in the past. In the last few decades, quantum cosmology has taken a new turn, supported by developments in quantum field theory, quantum gravity, and cosmological observations.

The main aim of this workshop is to shed light on the various developments in quantum cosmology in recent years. The workshop will consist of invited talks and will be held online on the Zoom platform. The invited speakers are leading experts in quantum cosmology, who will talk about the future prospects of quantum cosmology and reveal how new methods and techniques in quantum field theory, quantum gravity and cosmological observation can have an impact and insight into early cosmology. We hope that this workshop provides an opportunity to inspire new discussion among participants, and creates a new trend in quantum cosmology.
