Abstract
Diffusion in a one-dimensional system of repulsive Brownian particles, referred to as single-file diffusion (SFD),
is known for its anomalous behavior and has been studied as a simplified model of cage dynamics.
Here we report how a Lagrangian version of mode-coupling theory, as opposed to the Eulerian one,
allows us to handle the anomalous diffusion and calculate
the self part of the so-called Q-based chi_4, taking the nonlinearity of the thermodynamic potential into account.
