Talks and Posters

In the long-term workshop including the two symposia, we are going to have contributed talks in addition to the invited ones. Please check "Program".

The poster session will be held four times; on Oct.25 (1st week), Nov. 1 (2nd week), Nov. 9 (3rd week), and Nov. 15 (4th week) at the room Y206 (the room upstairs of the main venue). Before each session, there will be a poster preview session "Gong Show" at the main auditorium (Panasonic Hall).

In the "Gong Show", poster presenters show very short slides to explain the contents of their posters to the audience. Each slot is just 2 min. long. We ask the poster presenters to submit the slides (in PDF format) to atsushi.watanabe --at-- yukawa.kyoto-u.ac.jp until Monday (Oct. 23, Oct.30, Nov. 6, and Nov.13) for each week. As each slot is only 2 min., we kindly ask the poster presenters to keep the slides being up to 2 pages (including the title page).

Poster boards are labeled by numbers. We ask each presenter to put the poster on the board which is labeled by the number assigned. The poster numbers can be checked in Program.

Poster boards accommodate A0 size portrait posters. The size of a poster board is 86.8cm (width) and 151.5cm (height). The presenters can use only one side of a poster board for presentation. We ask the presenters to display the poster on the board by themselves. There are magnets to pin up the poster to the board. The presenters should put up the poster well before the start of the poster session. The posters may be displayed from the start of each week, and may be kept displayed throughout the week. The posters should be removed by the evening of each Friday so that the presenters of the next week can use the boards.

Banquets

We plan a (mini) banquet in each week.

Accommodation

For the participants of the workshop, we are holding a block of rooms at several hotels in Kyoto via a travel agency (JTB).

Please make a reservation from the following page if you like the hotels listed there.

https://amarys-jtb.jp/nqscm2017/

A deposit of 15,000 JPY is required to reserve a room. The rest amount should be settled directly at the hotel reception.

Please make sure to finish your reservation as soon as possible. The rooms are booked on a first-come, first served basis *.

* October-November is the highest period for tourism in Kyoto. It will not be easy, in general, to book a good hotel at a reasonable price for a long period.
