Overview
What are matter and life? What are human beings and mind? What are the environmental problems from viewpoints of Earth and space? How are these problems interrelated? It is the opening of this forum “Towards a New Synthesis of Knowledge” that must be urgent and even important for evaluating and solving these interrelated problems. This forum will deal with multidisciplinary themes such as mechanisms of Japan Earthquakes, world of elementary particles, science of mind, problems of education, biological effects of weak electromagnetic fields, perspectives of science & technology, science communication, and space weather. Based on intensive interdisciplinary discussions linking the sciences and human beings, we would like to propose some summary on the future towards a new synthesis of knowledge. The present two-day forum is entirely open to public including high school and junior high school students.
