Accommodation

1. Hotel arrangement by travel agancy

For participants, we have reserved rooms at three hotels in Kyoto. Reservation can be made through the following web page by JTB (Japan Tourist Bureau). Room assignment will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Deadline for reservation: 10 days prior to the first night of the stay
• Free cancellation: until 8 days before the first night of the stay
• Local support will be about 10,000 JPY/day.

Here room rates are shown for room/night including service charge and consumption tax.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There are TWO kinds of bus no.17, Kyoto city bus and Kyoto bus. Please make sure to kake the KYOTO CITY BUS which is green color like this. Do NOT take no. 17 of this one.

NOTE from Kyoto Central Inn: Kyoto City plans to do work of construction of Shijo Street from October 2014 to the end of October 2015. During this period, you may hear the sound of the construction outside. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we would appreciate your understanding.

• Hotel Gimmond to YITP: walk to the bus stop "Kyoto Shiyakusho Mae" on Kawaramachi Street, take a city bus no.17 for "Ginkakuji Temple" and get off at the bus stop "Kyodai Nogakubu Mae" (230JPY, about 20 min).


• Central Inn to YITP: walk to the bus stop "Shijo Kawaramachi"on Kawaramachi Street, take a city bus no.17 for "Ginkakuji Temple" and get off at the bus stop "Kyodai Nogakubu Mae" (230JPY, about 20 min).


• Hearton Hotel to YITP 1 (subway + bus): walk to the subway "Karasuma Oike(K08)" Station, take subway "Karasuma Line" for "Kokusai Kaikan" get off at the station "Imadegawa(K06)". (-->> Exit No.3 for the bus stop) and then take the bus no.203 for "Ginkakuji Temple" and get off at the bus stop "Kyodai Nogakubu Mae" (210JPY + 230JPY, about 20 min).


• Hearton Hotel to YITP 2 (bus): walk to the bus stop "Kyoto Shiyakusho Mae" on Kawaramachi Street, take a city bus no.17 for "Ginkakuji Temple" and get off at the bus stop "Kyodai Nogakubu Mae" (230JPY, about 20 min).


• Information of the public transportation in Kyoto.

2. Kitashirakawa Guest House

We also have a limited number (~8) rooms in the Kitashirakawa Guest House. Priority is given to students. The guest house arrangement can be requested in the registration.
