On this workshop
Recent breakthroughs made in the field of ultracold atoms and molecules ushered in a new era where novel quantum phenomena can be quantum simulated in an atomic system with high degrees of control. In particular, the last decade has witnessed a revolution in the experimental and theoretical studies of novel quantum systems with ultracold atoms and molecules. This YITP workshop will review the recent advances in the quantum simulation of novel phenomena using atomic systems. Leading researchers in this field will be invited to discuss outstanding research questions and the current status of cold atoms research in order to establish forward-looking collaborations. The 1st workshop was held was held at HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology while the 2nd workshop was held as an online program. For details of the previous workshops, see
This time, we hold "Quantum Simulation of Novel Phenomena with Ultracold Atoms and Molecules 2024" in a fully in-person style at Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University, as a successor of the two previous workshops held under the same title in the past.
