The international workshop "Quantum Information Entropy in Physics" will be devoted to theoretical development of physics in terms of the language of quantum information.
More specifically, this workshop aims to provide opportunities
to learn more about the information theoretical aspects of entropy;
to obtain ideas about applications of quantum information entropy in theoretical physics.
To achieve these goals, we would like to invite researchers from various fields of science, where quantum entropy may play important roles, such as fundamental physics, quantum information, computer science, and so on.
Information about COVID-19
We have decided that the workshop will be held in hybrid format as planned.
However, following the Kyoto University’s policy on COVID-19,
the workshop will be immediately changed to online-only if Kyoto University raises the COVID alert level to LEVEL 2 before the workshop.
We will notify you in the case we change the format.
Note that we will not be responsible for any cancellation fees associated with this change.
Not also that in-person participation is domestic-only.
Important information
The workshop will consist of tutorials (mostly JPN), invited talks, selected oral and poster presentations (all ENG).
The workshop will be a hybrid format. A limited number of domestic participants can join onsite at YITP in Kyoto University.
For onsite participants, especially for students and young researchers, we have a limited amount of support for traveling expenses.
Depending on the situation of COVID-19, the workshop may be switched to a completely virtual event.
