Agenda

This is an annual symposium for the global COE program at Kyoto University "the Next generation physics spun from universality and emergence". The theme of the symposium of this year is "Emerging Frontiers of Physics", to promote joint research among different fields. There will be plenary talks by internationally renowned scientists, and all sessions will be in English. Topics of the talks are taken from various areas of research, paying special attention to the frontiers arising from the interaction between slightly different areas of research. In addition, there will be a special session on graduate school education, which is another important aspect of this GCOE program. This session is planned to be given in English. This year we are also planning to have a session organized by PhD students by themselves.

Announcement

Those who wish to give a poster presentation have to register through the registration page by January 31st. The presentation file in the PDF format should also be uploaded through [upload] by noon on February 21st for the convenience of the selection of the poster award. The poster presentation is also regarded as a repor of the TRA activity, and those who are GCOE TRA are supposed to give a poster presentation.

Please put up the poster by the poster session in the afternoon on February 21st. The poster should be on the board until the end of the symposium. The size of the poster board is 90cm times 210cm, but the organizers recommend you not to use the very lower part of the board for readability.

GCOE Poster Award

We are planning to award prizes to several poster speakers. Those who are awarded will be anounced at the concluding session of the symposium. We would like to encourage all the poster speakers to make their bes presentations.
