Prof. Tadashi Takayanagi, the ExU head investigator, was awarded the Chern Shiing-Shen Chair Professorship by National Taiwan University in recognition of his contributions to mathematical physics. He also delivered a lecture titled “Quantum Entanglement and Gravitational Spacetime” at the Department of Physics colloquium.

The 5th Annual Meeting of the Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (A) “Extreme Universe” will be held from Friday, December 26 to Sunday, December 28, 2025, in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture. The 4rd young researchers' workshop of the Extreme Universe Collaboration was held at Kyukamura Irago, Aichi, Japan, with about 70 participants, who exchanged their latest research results and had discussions on quantum information, elementary particle physics, cosmology, and condensed matter physics.
