The 5th Extreme Universe Annual Meeting was held in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, from Friday, December 26 to Sunday, December 28.
Approximately 100 participants attended in person, with additional participants joining online. The meeting featured presentations of the latest research and offered ample opportunities for discussion across a wide range of fields, including particle physics, cosmology, condensed matter physics, and quantum information. These interdisciplinary discussions fostered lively and productive exchanges among researchers. For more details, please see here.

Prof. Masaki Oshikawa has been awarded the 71st Nishina Memorial Prize jointly with Prof. Hal Tasaki. Their award-winning achievement is titled “Theoretical and mathematical studies of quantum spin systems.” Congratulations on this remarkable accomplishment!
