deautonomization approach

as an application of the singularity confinement techniques to deautonomized
versions of some autonomous maps, particularly the QRT-type maps, in the works
of B. Grammaticos, A. Ramani, and their collaborators. In this talk we’ll
consider the main ideas behind the geometric approach to deautonomization.
This approach allows systematic derivation of all discrete Painlevé equations
that can be obtained as deautonomizations of a given QTR maps, and it also
allows for the nice pedagogical introduction to the theory of discrete
Painlevé equations. We consider some concrete examples, including the famous
q-PVI equation of Jimbo-Sakai, and also show how one can construct examples
of constrained discrete Painlevé equations with special symmetry groups in
this framework. This is a joint project with Tomoyuki Takenawa (Tokyo) and
Stefan Carstea (Bucharest).

Title: Local B-model Yukawa couplings from A-twisted correlators

Abstract: Using the exact formula about the A-twisted correlation functions
of two dimensional N = (2,2) gauged linear sigma model, we reconsidered the
computation of the B-model Yukawa couplings of the local toric Calabi-Yau
varieties. Our analysis is based on the exact result which has been evaluated
from the supersymmetric localization technique and a careful treatment of
its application. We provide a detailed description of a procedure to
investigate the local B-model Yukawa couplings and also test our prescription
by comparing the results with known expressions evaluated from the local
mirror symmetry approach. Especially, we find that the ambiguities of
classical intersection numbers of certain class of local toric Calabi-Yau
varieties discovered before can be interpreted as degrees of freedom of the
twisted mass deformations.

Title: Singular vectors of DIM algebra and generalized Macdonald functions
arising from AGT correspondence

Abstract: The Ding-Iohara-Miki algebra (DIM algebra) is a q-deformation of the
W-infinity algebra. A certain algebra obtained by free field representation
of the DIM algebra plays an important role in the 5D (q-deformed version of)
AGT correspondence. I will explain properties of the representation of this
algebra and present a coincidence between singular vectors of this algebra and
generalized Macdonald functions arising from AGT correspondence (q-deformed
version of AFLT basis). This coincidence can be regarded as a sort of
generalization of the one between singular vectors of deformed W-algebras and
ordinary Macdonald functions.

Groups)

Non-abelian Galois cohomology is, from Grothendieck's point of view, the
simplest example of a theory that can "measure" mathematical objects
(projective curves, Lie algebras, ...) that are locally isomorphic. What is
curious is that the base topological space consists of just one point! (this
space therefore admits no non-trivial open coverings. That said, the theory
is far from trivial: One needs to understand the meaning of "local").
The talk will present an introduction, with plenty of examples, to
non-abelian Galois cohomology. Towards the end we will give some new
applications to the classification of quantum groups.

equations of the KP hierarchy, and that each Schur polynomial can be
parametrized by a unique Young diagram. We also know that the KP solitons
(exponential solutions) can be parametrized by certain decomposition of the
Grassmannians. In the talk, I will explain the connection between the
rational solutions and the KP solitons in terms of the Young diagrams.
More explicitly, I will show how one gets a rational solution from a KP
soliton. I will also discuss a connection between quasi-periodic solutions
(theta or sigma functions) and the KP solitons.

series representations, and integration cycles

system on an affine space which is satisfied by various classical
hypergeometric series of several variables. A basis of solutions can be
constructed in terms of $\Gamma$-series by a (good) regular triangulation
of the Newton polytope. On the other hand, M.Schulze and U.Walther showed
that, when the parameter is non-resonant, GKZ system is isomorphic to the
twisted Laplace-Gauss-Manin connection of Laplace type. This corresponds
to the fact that solutions of GKZ system have Laplace integral
representations.
In this talk, we consider three types of twisted Laplace-Gauss-Manin
connections: Laplace, Euler-Laplace, and Residue-Laplace type. Under a
mild assumption on the parameters, we will see that these three types are
all isomorphic to GKZ system. Based on this algebraic description, we give
a combinatorial procedure of constructing integration cycles associated to
each type by means of a (good) regular triangulation. This basis of cycles
can easily be related to $\Gamma$-series. As for Euler-Laplace type, we
will see that combinatorial information of a triangulation can be
interpreted as "linked cycle" previously known to some experts.

タイトル :Gap Probabilities and discrete Painlevé equations

アブストラクト :
It is well-known that important statistical quantities, such as gap
probabilities, in various discrete probabilistic models of random matrix type
satisfy the so-called discrete Painlevé equations, which provides an effective
way to computing them. In this talk we discuss this correspondence for a
particular class of models, known as boxed plane partitions (equivalently,
lozenge tilings of a hexagon). For uniform probability distribution, this is
one of the most studied models of random surfaces. Borodin, Gorin, and Rains
showed that it is possible to assign a very general elliptic weight to the
distribution, with various degenerations of this weight corresponding to the
degeneration cascade of discrete polynomial ensembles, such as Racah and Hahn
ensembles and their q-analogues. This also correspond to the degeneration
scheme of discrete Painlevé equations, due to Sakai. In this talk we consider
the q-Hahn and q-Racah ensembles and corresponding discrete Painlevé equations
of types q-P(A_{2}^{(1)}) and q-P(A_{1}^{(1)}). This is joint work with

reversible dynamics is a fundamental problem ever since the seminal
thought by Boltzmann. In recent years, this problem has attracted
renewed attentions, in light of modern statistical mechanics and
experimental progress in ultracold atoms. In particular, it has been
recognized that the eigenstate thermalization hypothesis (ETH) plays a
crucial role in understanding the mechanism of thermalization in
isolated quantum systems. In this talk, starting from a brief review
of this topic, I will present our recent results. First, I will talk
about a rigorous proof of a weak version of the ETH [1] and systematic
numerical verification of its strong version [2]. Next, I will talk
about the second law for pure quantum states, where the heat bath is
initially in a single energy eigenstate [1]. Our rigorous proof of
the second law is based on the ETH and the Lieb-Robinson bound.

Title: Gaudin model and crystals (joint work with Iva Halacheva,
Joel Kamnitzer and Alex Weekes)
Abstract: Drinfeld-Kohno theorem relates the monodromy of KZ equation to
the braid group action on a tensor product of $U_q(\mathfrak{g})$-modules
by R-matrices. The KZ equation depends on the parameter $\kappa$ such that
$q=\exp(\frac{\pi i}{\kappa})$. We describe the limit Drinfeld-Kohno
correspondence when $\kappa\to 0$ along the imaginary line. On the KZ side
this limit is the Gaudin integrable magnet chain while on the quantum group
side the limit is a $\mathfrak{g}$-crystal. Namely, we construct a bijection
between the set of solutions of the algebraic Bethe ansatz for the Gaudin
model and the corresponding $\mathfrak{g}$-crystal, which preserves the
natural cactus group action on these sets. This can be regarded as the
$\kappa\to 0$ limit of the Drinfeld-Kohno theorem. If time allows I will
also dicuss some conjectural generalizations of this result relating it to
works of Losev and Bonnafe on cacti and Kazhdan-Lusztig cells.

Title: Jacobian factors in any ranks and DAHA superpolynomials
Abstract:
The theory of the moduli spaces of torsion free
sheaves in any ranks over singular curves is quite
a challenge, including nodal curves and rk=2
(Gieseker, Bertram, others). Its local counterpart is
the theory of affine Springer fibers for non-reduced
(germs of) singular curves, which is unsettled too.

For type A and in the nil-elliptic case, these fibers can
be identified with the Jacobian factors, which are simple
to define projective(!) varieties, though this approach
was not extended to higher ranks as well. For plane
curve singularities (spectral curves are of this kind in
type A), there is a strong support: the corresponding
geometric superpolynomials are expected to coincide
with the DAHA superpolynomials colored by columns,
and through them to be connected with any other
theories of superpolynomials, including the original
(uncolored) ones due to Khovanov-Rozansky.

I will define in this talk Jacobian factors in any ranks and
state their connection with the DAHA superpolynomials.
This is joint with Ian Philipp. The connection conjecture
was checked in many cases and a general proof seems
doable (at least in the motivic setting, to be explained).

Title: Structure of higher genus Gromov-Witten invariants of the quintic 3-fold

Abstract: The computation of higher genus GW-invariants of compact Calami-Yau
3-folds (symbolized by the quintic 3-fold) has been a very difficult problem
for both mathematician and physicists. Using the B-model, physicists has
proposed a zoo of conjectures for the structure of higher genus GW-invariants
of the quintic 3-fold. Working with a group of exceptionally talented young
people Guo, Janda and Qile Chen, we have made a breakthrough recently to solve
all these conjectures.

2)
Speaker: Yongbin Ruan (U of Michigan)
Date: Fri, Jun 22, 2018, 13:15 - 14:45
Place: Seminar Room B

Title: Verlinde/Grassmanian Correspondence

Abstract: More than twenty years ago, Witten proposed an equivalence of two
quantum fields governing Verlinde algebra (or the theory of stable bundles
over a curve) and the quantum cohomology of Grassmanian. Motivated by
Witten's physical work and recent revival of quantum K-theory, we proposed
a K-theoretic version of so called Verlinde/Grassmanian correspondence. We
will first review the new ingredient of level structure in quantum K-theory
and surprising appearance of mock theta function. Then, we will present a
proof of correspondence in rank two using wall-crossing technique. This is
a joint work with Davesh Maulik and Ming Zhang.

13TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SYMMETRIES AND INTEGRABILITY OF
DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS (SIDE 13)

THIRD ANNOUNCEMENT

Venue: JR Hakata City Conference Rooms, Fukuoka, Japan
Dates: Sunday 11 November (arrival day) to Saturday 17 November 2018
(departure day)

Registration and submission of presentation is now open at:
http://side13conference.net/

SIDE 13 is the thirteenth in a series of biennial conferences devoted to
Symmetries and Integrability of Difference Equations, and in particular
to: ordinary and partial difference equations, analytic difference equations,
orthogonal polynomials and special functions, symmetries and reductions,
discrete differential geometry, integrable discrete systems on graphs,
integrable dynamical mappings, (discrete) Painlevé equations, integrability
criteria, Yang-Baxter type equations, cluster algebras, difference Galois
theory, quantum mappings, quantum field theory on space-time lattices,
representation theory, combinatorics, numerical models of differential
equations, discrete stochastic models and other related topics.

The first SIDE conference took place in Estérel, Quebec, Canada, May 22-29,
1994. The event was so successful that it gave rise to the series of
conferences since held in the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, France, Finland,
Germany, Australia, Bulgaria, China, India and Canada.

SIDE 13 will take place at JR Hakata City Conference Rooms, in Fukuoka, Japan,
from November 11, 2018 (arrival day) to November 17, 2018 (departure day).
JR Hakata City is located within JR Hakata Station in Fukuoka, and is just
five minutes travel from Fukuoka Airport by subway. Fukuoka is one of the
oldest historic cities in Japan and famous for its excellent local food.
Transportation to and from other major cities in Japan is frequent and
reasonably fast: there are more than 60 flights per day from Tokyo (1:30),
and more than 70 JR Shinkansen trains per day from Osaka (typically 2:30).

It is expected that the number of participants to the meeting will exceed
the number of available slots for talks and posters. The scientific committee
will therefore have to make a selection of proposed presentations. Applicants
will be informed of the decision of the scientific committee by August 10 2018.

In general, all talks will be allotted 30 minutes (including discussions).
A poster session will be organized and each presenter will have a short
two minute oral presentation to advertise the poster. Poster Awards will be
organized for students and early career researchers.

There will be no parallel sessions.

Instead of publishing proceedings we plan to arrange a book of abstracts
(up to 2 pages each in A4 size).

Accompanying persons will not be required to pay the registration fee.
However, if they choose to attend, the conference dinner and excursion will
be charged as above.

Accommodation

Accommodation for participants has been secured in blocks. Please refer to
the online booking system available at the registration site above. Rooms
with double bed or two beds will be available on request.

If you would like to book by yourself on other booking sites, it is highly
recommended to secure the booking sufficiently early. Actually, November is
high season in Fukuoka and sometimes it is difficult to book accommodation.
For example, the Sumo (Japanese traditional wrestling) tournament will be
held in Fukuoka during November 11-25 which is expected to make the booking
tight.

Financial Support

Limited financial support, mainly for early career researchers and students
giving presentations, will be available. The deadline of application will
be June 30 and the result will be notified July 30.

* Early Career Researchers: Researchers within five years after obtaining

(good) vertex operator superalgebra is the modular invariance property of

$c_{p,p'}=3(1−\frac{2p'}{p})$ and their modular transformation formulas.
Here $(p,p')$ is a pair of coprime integers such that $p,p'>1$.
In addition, we discuss the so-called continuous'' Verlinde formula in
the spirit of T. Creutzig and D. Ridout.

Hyperscaling for oriented percolation in 1+1 space-time dimensions

Consider nearest-neighbor oriented percolation in d + 1 space–time dimensions.
Let $\rho$, $\eta$, $\nu$ be the critical exponents for the survival probability
up to time t, the expected number of vertices at time t connected from the
space–time origin, and the gyration radius of those vertices, respectively. We
prove that the hyperscaling inequality $d\nu \ge \eta + 2\rho$, which holds for
all $d \ge 1$ and is a strict inequalityabove the upper-critical dimension 4,
becomes an equality for $d = 1$, i.e., $\nu = \eta + 2\rho$, provided existence
of at least two among those exponents. The key to the proof is the recent result
on the critical box-crossing property by Duminil-Copin et al (to appear in

Title: Affine osp(1|2) and its coset construction
Abstract:
Conformal field theory is an essential tool of modern mathematical physics
with applications to string theory and to the critical behaviour of statistical
lattice models. The symmetries of a conformal field theory include all
angle-preserving transformations. In two dimensions, these transformations
generate the Virasoro algebra, a powerful symmetry that allows one to calculate
observable quantities analytically. The construction of one family of conformal
field theories from the affine Kac-Moody algebra sl(2) were proposed by Kent in
1986 as a means of generalising the coset construction to non-unitary Virasoro
minimal models, these are known as the Wess-Zumino-Witten models at admissible
levels. This talk aims to illustrate, with the example of the affine Kac-Moody
superalgebra osp(1|2) at admissible levels, how the representation theory of a
vertex operator superalgebra can be studied through a coset construction. The
method allows us to determine key aspects of the theory, including its module
characters, modular transformations and fusion rules.

Title: Relaxed modules over affine vertex operator algebras
Abstract:
Some of the most important non-rational VOAs are the admissible level affine
ones. Their simple modules in category O have been classified, but this omits
many physically necessary simple modules. Motivated by modularity (and physical)
consistency, we report on work towards a classification of simple modules in
category R, the category of "relaxed" highest-weight modules.

Title: S-duality in the example of the large N=4 superconformal algebra
Abstract:
There is a very rich interplay between certain supersymmetric four-dimensional

The key ingredient for all three are master chiral algebras that serve as

Bethe ansatz and crystals.

Gaudin model is a completely integrable magnet chain attached to
arbitrary semisimple Lie algebra g and a collection of irreducible
representations of g. It can be solved by algebraic Bethe ansatz method.
Feigin and Frenkel interpreted the solutions of Gaudin Bethe ansatz
equations as monoderomy-free opers on the projective line, and this
allows to prove the completeness of Bethe ansatz. On the other hand,
Feigin-Frenkel description of Gaudin model relates it to geometry of
moduli spaces of curves. In particular, the fundamental group of the
real Deligne-Mumford moduli space of stable rational curves acts on the
set of Bethe vectors of the Gaudin magnet chain. It appears as a
subgroup in the Galois group of Bethe ansatz equations. This fundamental
group (known as Cactus group) arises naturally as an analog of the braid
group in coboundary monoidal categories; in particular, it acts on
tensor product of Kashiwara crystals. Recently we showed that there is a
natural bijection between Bethe vectors of the Gaudin model and highest
elements in the tensor product of corresponding crystals, which respects
the cactus group action.

In this mini-course I will explain Bethe ansatz for Gaudin model
(following Feigin and Frenkel) as well as our recent results (with
Iva Halacheva, Joel Kamnitzer and Alex Weekes) relating Bethe ansatz
to crystals. More detailed plan is below:

Abstract: Summability of formal series with respect to

Abstract: Since the discovery of new Stokes lines
by Berk-Nevins-Roberts, WKB analysis of higher order

is Borel summability of WKB solutions, and it seems
that now this problem is being solved (R. Schaefke).
In this talk, as a related fundamental problem we

Title: Systoles, Special Lagrangians, and Bridgeland stability conditions

Abstract: Loewner's torus systolic inequality states that the least length
of a non-contractible loop (systole) on a torus can not be too large compare
to its volume. We attempt to generalize this relation from the viewpoint of
Calabi-Yau geometry, which naturally leads to the notions of systole and
systolic ratio of Bridgeland stability conditions. We will first recall some
relevant backgrounds on mirror symmetry and Bridgeland stability conditions.
Then we will study an example of K3 surface, which turns out to be a
lattice-theoretic question.

is based on the pseudo-spectral method for the full Euler formulation. With
the aid of a laser sheet in the laboratory, the wave profiles are measured
optically in sub-millimeter precision. Discrepancies reported in previous
works are now substantially improved, partly because of the higher-order KP
theory and in part because of the advancement in computational power and
laboratory instrumentation. While the theory predicts the maximum of four-fold
(4.0) amplification of the Mach stem, the maximum observed in the laboratory
was 2.922 (the previous laboratory study had achieved the amplification of
2.4), while our numerical simulation reached the maximum of 3.91 (previously

Title: Cohomological field theories from matrix factorizations

Abstract:
A Cohomological field theory (CohFT) is an algebraic structure
underlying the properties of Gromov-Witten invariants and quantum
cohomology. I will describe a CohFT associated with a quasihomogeneous
hypersurface singularity together with a finite group G of its
symmetries. The state space of this theory is the equivariant Milnor
ring of W and the corresponding invariants can be viewed as analogs of
Gromov-Witten invariants for the non-commutative space associated with
the pair (W,G). The construction is based on categories of (equivariant)
matrix factorizations of singularities. The role of the virtual
fundamental class from the Gromov-Witten theory played by a "fundamental
matrix factorization" over a certain moduli space. I will present the
main ingredients of the construction of the CohFT and some recent
results and applications. The talk is based on joint work with A.Polishchuk.

Algebras that admit n-cluster tilting subcategories
アブストラクト:
In higher dimensional Auslander-Reiten theory one replaces the module
category of an associative algebra by a subcategory with suitable
homological properties. The most standard choice is to consider a
so-called n-cluster tilting subcategory. A fundamental question is
therefore: which algebras admit an n-cluster tilting subcategory of
their module category? Although a definitive answer to this question
seems to much to hope for, there are several results on how to obtain
such algebras. In my talk I will give a survey of these results with a
focus on algebras where an n-cluster tilting subcategory can be
described explicitly.

Title : Vertex algebras and coordinate rings of semi-infinite flags
Abstract:
The direct sum of irreducible level one integrable representations of
affne Kac-Moody Lie algebra of (affne) type ADE carries a structure of
P/Q-graded vertex operator algebra. There exists a filtration on these
modules due to Kato and Loktev such that the corresponding graded vector
space is a direct sum of global Weyl modules. The associated graded
space with respect to the dual filtration is isomorphicto the homogenous
coordinate ring of semi-in finite flag variety. We describe the ring
structure in terms of vertex operators and endowthe homogenous coordinate
ring with a structure of P/Q-graded vertex operator algebra. We use the
vertex algebra approach to derive semiinfinite Pluecker-type relations in
the homogeneous coordinate ring.

right-strongly quasi-hereditary algebras, motivated by Iyama's finiteness
theorem of representation dimensions of artin algebras. In this talk, we
give characterizations of these algebras in terms of heredity chains and
right rejective subcategories. Moreover, we describe two applications of
these characterizations. One is that any artin algebra of global dimension
at most two is always right-strongly quasi-hereditary. The others are
characterizations of Auslander algebras and Auslander-Dlab-Ringel algebras
to be strongly quasi-hereditary. This talk is based on my ph. D. thesis.

Title: Yang-Baxter equations and symmetric groups

Abstract: The Yang-Baxter equation is a cubic equation in a parameter
dependent endomorphism R of the tensor square of some vector space V.
If R is constant with respect to the parameter and invertible, then
the Yang-Baxter equation is equivalent to the braid relations of the
braid groups, thus defining a representation of the n-th braid group
B_n on the n-th tensor power of V. If, in addition, R squares to 1,
then the defining relations of the symmetric groups are satisfied and
the n-th tensor power of V is furnished with a representation of the
n-th symmetric group. While this is quite a drastic reduction of
complexity from the most general form the of the Young-Baxter equation,
the set of solutions exhibits a lot of interesting structure and up
to a natural notion of equivalence all solutions can be classified.

Title: A logarithmic McKay correspondence and derived invariance for
parabolic sheaves

Abstract: In this talk I will explain some joint work with Sarah Scherotzke
and Nicolò Sibilla, where we prove a "limit" version of the derived McKay
correspondence in the context of logarithmic geometry. The two sides of the
derived equivalence in our case are given by objects called the "infinite
root stack" and the "valuativization", that correspond to different ways of
enhancing the central fiber of some simple kind of degenerations. Our result
also implies the rather surprising fact that the derived category of parabolic
sheaves on a variety with a normal crossings divisor is invariant under
certain blowups. Along the way I will review some basics about the objects
involved, and try to highlight their relevance to a modern approach to curve
and sheaf-counting theories for singular varieties.

The universal Poisson deformation space of hypertoric varieties and some

アブストラクト:
Hypertoric variety $Y(A, \alpha)$ is a (holomorphic) symplectic variety,
which is defined as Hamiltonian reduction of complex vector space by torus
action. By definition, there exists projective morphism $\pi:Y(A, \alpha) \to Y(A, 0)$, and for generic $\alpha$, this gives a symplectic resolution
of affine hypertoric variety $Y(A, 0)$. In general, for conical symplectic
variety and it's symplectic resolution, Namikawa showed the existence of
universal Poisson deformation space of them. We construct universal Poisson
deformation space of hypertoric varieties $Y(A, \alpha)$, $Y(A, 0)$. We will
explain this construction and concrete description of Namikawa-Weyl group
action in this case. If time permits, We will also talk about some
classification results of affine hypertoric variety. This talk is based on
my master thesis.

Dear all,

I would like to announce the following two Mathematics and String theory
seminars at Kavli IPMU

1)
Speaker: Andrea Appel (University of Edinburgh)
Date: Tue, Mar 27, 2018, 13:15 - 14:45
Place: Seminar Room A

Title: Quantum groups and monodromy

Abstract: The monodromy of linear differential equations can be thought
of as an analytic map generalizing the exponential map of a Lie group.
Its computation may be rather cumbersome, but, in the case of certain
very special equations arising in representation theory and mathematical
physics it is possible to obtain an algebraic and seemingly more explicit
description in terms of quantum groups. In the first part of this talk,
I will describe several examples involving both differential and difference
equations, while in the second part I will mainly focus on the monodromy
of the rational Casimir connection, following joint works with
V. Toledano Laredo.

2)
Speaker: Michael Singer (U College London)
Date: Tue, Mar 27, 2018, 15:30 - 17:00
Place: Seminar Room B

Title: Asymptotic geometry of monopole moduli space and the Sen Conjecture

Abstract: The moduli space of (non-abelian, euclidean, SU(2)) monopoles has
been of interest to mathematicians and mathematical physicists since the
mid-1980s. It was proved around that time that the natural L^2 metric is
hyperKaehler and complete; and its role in low-energy dynamics of monopoles
was extensively discussed and analyzed. After the advent of S-duality in
supersymmetric gauge theories in the 1990s, Sen made a striking conjecture
about the spectrum of supersymmetric quantum states on the monopole moduli
spaces. From the mathematical point of view, Sen's conjectures are about
the existence of L^2 harmonic forms on monopole moduli spaces and the
analysis of this problem requires a good understanding of the monopole
metric. I shall describe recent progress on this problem which will at
least prove a part of Sen's conjectures. This is joint work with
Karsten Fritzsch and Chris Kottke.

Title :Geometric construction of integrable Hamiltonian hierarchies
associated wtih the classical affine W-algebras.

Abstract: The Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchies are integrable Hamiltonian
hierarchies associated with the principal classical affine W-algebras.
Feigin-Frenkel realized these hierarchies geometically using a geometric
interpretation of the free field realization of principal classsical
affine W-algebras. In this talk, we consider a generalization of this
result to some classical affine W-algebras which are not principal. We
also obtain a characterization of the corresponding Hamiltonians as the
set of conservative quantities of some differential equations which are
the affine Toda equations in the principal cases.

Title : The universal Poisson deformation space of hypertoric varieties.

We
will explain this construction and concrete description of Namikawa-Weyl
group action in this case. If time permits, We will also talk about some
classification results of affine hypertoric variety. This talk is based on
my master thesis.

Title: Topological phases and anomalies in relativistic quantum field theories

と思う。
Abstract: In the recent years, we have seen a great development in the
understanding of topological phases and anomalies in the context of condensed
matter physics. These new insights can also be usefully applied to the study
of quantum field theory on the high energy physics side. In this lecture we
will give a very elementary review of this subject.

Title : An introduction to higher Teichmuller theory

Abstract : I will speak about recent joint work with Alexander Shapiro in
which we develop a cluster realization of the quantum group U_q(sl(n))
using quantized moduli spaces of framed local systems on marked surfaces.
I will also discuss the notion of a positive representation of a quantum
cluster algebra, and explain how the positive representations of U_q(sl(n))
introduced by Frenkel and Ip can be studied in the cluster algebra framework.

Title : An introduction to higher Teichmuller theory

Abstract :Igor Frenkel and Ivan Ip conjectured that positive representations
of quantum groups are closed under tensor products. This conjecture happens
to be closely related to the so-called modular functor conjecture by Fock and
Goncharov. I will speak about joint works with Gus Schrader (some of which are
works in progress) where we prove the above conjectures.

Title : An introduction to higher Teichmuller theory

Abstract : Let S be a topological surface. Teichmuller space parameterizes
the different ways of giving S the structure of a Riemann surface.
Uniformization tells us that any Riemann surface can realized as a quotient
of the upper-half-plane by a subgroup of PSL(2,R). Thus Teichmuller space
to be viewed as a space of representations of the fundamental group of S
into PSL(2,R). We will explain how cluster algebras and the theory of total
positivity give an approach to Teichmuller theory which recovers classical
ideas (like hyperbolic geometry, measured laminations, and quadratic
differentials) while also permitting a generalization to PSL(n,R).

Date: Tue, Mar 06, 2018, 13:30 - 15:00
Place: Seminar Room A

Title: On double covers and their degenerations

Abstract: We discuss different compactifications of the moduli space of smooth
plane curves, explicit descriptions of the singular objects they parametrize,
and applications for understanding the degenerations of double covers
branching along them.

2) Speaker: Sara Muhvic (Warwick U)

Title: G-Hilb and crepant resolutions of certain abelian orbifolds
in dimension 4

Abstract: Let G \subset Sl(4,\CC) be a maximal diagonal subgroup of exponent r.
In this talk, I will describe the G-Hilbert scheme G-Hilb(C4) through its toric
fan and show how it can be used to construct "special" crepant resolutions of
the quotient variety \CC^4/ G. I will also discuss whether these crepant
resolutions could be interpreted as the moduli spaces \mathcal{M}_\theta of
\theta-stable G-constellations.

Title : Monoidal categorification of cluster algebras

Abstract : In this talk, I will explain our work on the monoidal
categorification of the quantum coordinate ring $A_q(n(w))$ of the unipotent
subgroup associated with a symmetric Kac-Moody algebra $g$ and an element
$w$ of the Weyl group. This is a joint work with Seok-Jin Kang,
Masaki Kashiwara, and Se-jin Oh.

The notion of monodical categorification of cluster algebras was introduced
by Hernandez and Leclerc: an abelian monodical category $C$ is called a
monodical categorification of a cluster algebra $A$ if the Grothendieck
ring of $C$ is isomorphic to $A$ and the cluster monomials of $A$ belong
to the classes of real simple objects of $C$.

The existence of a monodical categorification of a cluster algebra $A$
implies several nice properites of $A$ in a natural way, for example, the
positivity of the coefficients of the expansion of cluster monomials with
respect to an arbitrary cluster.

Our main result is that a subcategory $C_w$ of category of finite-
dimensional graded modules over the symmetric quiver Hecke algebra is a
monodical categorification of the (quantum) cluster algebra $A_q(n(w))$.

Combining the results of Khovanov-Lauda, Rouquier and Varagnolo-Vasserot,
we conclude that the cluster monomials of $A_q(n(w))$ belongs to the upper
global basis (dual canonical basis). It answers the conjecture by Kimura
and Geiss-Leclerc-Schroer, which can be also regarded as a sharpened
version of a question asked by Fomin-Zelevinsky.

Title: The Frobenius structure conjecture in dimension two

Abstract: The Frobenius structure conjecture is a conjecture about the
geometry of rational curves in log Calabi-Yau varieties proposed by
Gross-Hacking-Keel. It was motivated by the study of mirror symmetry.
It predicts that the enumeration of rational curves in a log Calabi-Yau
variety gives rise naturally to a Frobenius algebra satisfying nice
properties. In a joint work with S. Keel, we prove the conjecture in
dimension two. Our method is based on the enumeration of non-archimedean
holomorphic curves developed in my thesis. We construct the structure
constants of the Frobenius algebra directly from counting non-archimedean
holomorphic disks. If time permits, I will also talk about compactification
and extension of the algebra.

Speaker: Mauro Porta (University of Strasbourg)
Date: Tue, Feb 13, 2018, 13:15 - 14:45
Place: Seminar Room A

Title: HKR theorems in analytic geometry

Abstract: In this talk I will survey recent advances in derived geometry.
Building on the framework of derived analytic geometry introduced in my
thesis, I will explain how to obtain an S^1-equivariant version of the
Hochschild-Kostant-Rosenberg theorem for analytic spaces. Here analytic
means at the same time complex analytic and non-archimedean analytic,
and an analytic space is understood to be possibly singular (and, in fact,
possibly derived).

13TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SYMMETRIES AND INTEGRABILITY OF DIFFERENCE
EQUATIONS (SIDE 13)

SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT
7 January, 2018

Venue: JR Hakata City Conference Rooms, Fukuoka, Japan
Dates: Sunday 11 November (arrival day) to Saturday 17 November 2018
(departure day)

SIDE 13 is the thirteenth in a series of biennial conferences devoted to
Symmetries and Integrability of Difference Equations, and in particular to:
ordinary and partial difference equations, analytic difference equations,
orthogonal polynomials and special functions, symmetries and reductions,
discrete differential geometry, integrable discrete systems on graphs,
integrable dynamical mappings, (discrete) Painlevé equations, integrability
criteria, Yang-Baxter type equations, cluster algebras, difference Galois
theory, quantum mappings, quantum field theory on space-time lattices,
representation theory, combinatorics, numerical models of differential
equations, discrete stochastic models and other related topics.

Transportation to and from other major cities in Japan is frequent and
reasonably fast: there are more than 60 flights per day from Tokyo (1:30),
and more than 70 JR Shinkansen trains per day from Osaka (typically 2:30).

will therefore have to make a selection of proposed presentations. Applicants
will be informed of the decision of the scientific committee by August 10 2018.

(1 page each in A4 size).

タイトル：Cluster algebra structures of the coordinate rings and crystal bases

アブストラクト：The coordinate rings of many varieties relevant to reductive
algebraic groups have special generators so-called cluster variables. A
commutative algebra generated by cluster variables is called a cluster algebra.
When $G$ is a classical group over the complex field, it is decomposed into
cells $G^{u,v}$ parametrized by two Weyl group elements $u$, $v$. It is known
that the coordinate ring of $G^{u,v}$ has a cluster algebra structure.

On the other hand, crystal bases are appearing in the context of Lie theory
and quantum groups theory. By using crystal bases, we can study the structures
of representations of Lie algebras or quantum groups combinatorially.

In this talk, after seeing examples of cluster algebras and crystal bases, I
will explain a relation between the cluster variables in $\mathbb{C}[G^{e,v}]$
and crystal bases in the case $G=SL_{r+1}(\mathbb{C})$.
