YITP-YSF Symposium

Perspectives on Non-Equilibrium Statistical Mechanics:
The 45th Anniversary Symposium of Yamada Science Foundation

August 3 - 5, 2023
Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University

Program

Poster presenters:

The poster session will take place on August 4 in the afternoon session. Poster boards will accommodate A0 size portrait posters. The size of a poster board is 86.8cm (width) and 151.5cm (height). You can use only one poster board for your presentation. You can use magnets that we provide to pin up your poster to the board. The poster session on Friday afternoon will be held in rooms Y206 and Y306. Please check here for the abstract and the assigned poster number. The poster presenters with the numbers 1-24 will use Y206. The poster presenters with the numbers 25-47 will use Y306. You will be able to put up posters from Thursday to Saturday. Please remove the posters before you will leave.

Banquet:

Banquet will take place on August 4, 6 pm, at the University Co-op (in the North campus), second floor. See here for the map. The location of the University Coop is the restaurant south of 8 and north of 2. Please prepare cash (4000 yen for general participants) to pay for participation in the banquet.

Each slot for a talk contains discussion time. We expect the invited speaker to spend 30 minutes for their talk and 10 minutes for discussion, and contributed speaker to spend 15 minutes for their talk and 5 minutes for discussion.

Detailed program (including the abstracts) can be found here.

Poster presenter's abstract can be found here.

Some additional remarks:

1) We would like to ask all speakers to prepare pdf files that can be uploaded to the website. The file can be different from their presentations. Assistant students will collect your files after your talk will be over.

2) There will be three online talks. Please check the attached program. If you will present your talks through online, please let me and Ryo Hanai (ryo.hanai@yukawa.kyoto-u.ac.jp) know as soon as possible.

3) We will take a group photo in front of Yukawa Hall after the morning session of the first day (before lunch) if it will not rain. If it rained, the photo will be taken on Friday.
